Small Business

Sunday, December 25th, 2011

Thanks to Olga Quinn

Small business owners across the country are hurting, it’s not just me, but these times are tougher than I’ve ever seen in the last 30 years I’ve been doing this. We’re just not as busy as we’ve been in years past but that’s given me an opportunity to really try hard to make this business better and more efficient for when things do pick back up. I got us some http://smallbusiness.xo.com/ solutions to streamline things a bit and I did an allover audit of our spending and all that so I could make sure we weren’t hemorrhaging money in places we shouldn’t have been. There are only so many things I can do right now to help business pick up and after that’s done I really just have to wait, you know? Things will come back like they have before we just may have to wait a while longer this time around for it to happen…nothing’s easy in this economic crisis and that’s the end of that story. I don’t want to talk about it anymore.

Help is needed

Thursday, December 15th, 2011

The news out of Washington is not good. Today the white house announced that nearly one out of every two Americans are living from week to week and are being classified as low-income. Those without jobs are being hit hardest. It’s been years in the making but now it is true.

Senators and congressmen are busy blaming each other. That leaves the American people with a huge problem. What will happen to those who have some kind of mishap in their lives that will put them over the edge? I hope that congress and regular Americans will wake up and start to deal with this problem.

Pennies make dollars

Friday, December 9th, 2011

I am a firm believer in investing in the stock market. There is a lot of money to be made there and anyone can do it. That is, anyone with some serious money to spend. There is another solution though, and that is penny stocks. Anyone can afford them and they are a great way to start your investment career.

Penny stocks are affordable. Even if you don’t do well, you will not have lost that much. There are times though when you can make great gains and become very well off if you hit the right ones at the right time. I say you should give it a try.

The lottery

Sunday, December 4th, 2011

I have always dreamed of hitting the lottery. I am sure that many of you have as well. I wonder what I would do with the money. Would I give it away or start a college fund for my kids. I would probably do both. I may spend a little on the side as well.

I heard a story about a man who has hit the million dollar lottery twice over the last three years. His name is Delma Kinney and he is 50 years old. This is a very lucky man. He plans to give away some of the money he won and he can because after all, he hit the lottery before. I would wish him good luck, but apparently he doesn’t need it.

Employment gains

Saturday, November 5th, 2011

The unemployment rate is always being watched by investors. That’s why it is good that the unemployment rate fell by 1% this month. That means that many more people have found jobs this month. I think that this is good for the economy.

Many experts believe that the economy is improving as a whole. This will help local businesses that have been struggling. The housing market is always a concern. But some areas are doing well in that regard. I hope the trend will continue.
